The U.S. Secretary of State, Mr. Blinken, seems to have a thorough understanding of the region, acknowledging a situation that has persisted for decades, with the emergence of a terror threat since the early days of Fatah-PLO, which has grown out of proportion.

Despite this, little action has been taken beyond exacerbating the crisis by an international community that fails to recognize how innocents are exploited for a cause unrelated to their displacement or statelessness.

Terror is likened to a cancer, necessitating treatment akin to that for a tumour, and sadly, it has metastasized long ago.
