Belsize Square Synagogue celebrations of 80 years of Jewish life in England

A month filled with celebrations starting our 80 anniversary coinciding with Shabbat UK, a dinner hosting our sister Synagogue from Berlin, the Pestallozzi strasse its Ministers, Choirmaster and Youth Choir and a waiting list for the dinner, since we cannot sit more than the 200, already booked.

An evening with prayer and song shared with my dear colleague Cantor Itzhak Sheffer.

In the morning another very special ocassion with the inauguration of the Torah scroll presented by family Goodwin, after its survival of the Holocaust and now safe in our Ark, it will be read by Cantor Sheffer and its history told by our own Rabbi Altshuler.

The weekend of the 23/24th of March our Shabbat and Civic services with special guests from all over the world.

And as part of our celebrations the amazing Bat Kol Choir from Tel Aviv, the 13th of April with Melave Malka.

And still more to come: a communal BBQ in the summer and the AUCTION of PROMISES in September.

So much to be proud of, my very active Synagogue, and its incredible example and contribution to Jewish life in the UK for the past 80 years.
